Welcome to Demi on the Road! My name is Demi, I’m 36 years old, and I’ve been passionate about traveling for as long as I can remember. For years I wrote travel stories just for myself, but now I’ve brought all my adventures, tips, and experiences together on this website: a place where my love for exploring the world truly comes to life.
As a child, I spent almost every summer in France with my parents and sister. In 2010, I took my very first long‑haul trip to South Africa, and that’s when the real travel bug hit me. More journeys followed, and in 2022 I even decided to (temporarily) quit my job to travel through South America for over seven months. I returned with countless new experiences and an even stronger desire to keep discovering the world.
Although wildlife is still a big passion of mine, Demi on the Road is about much more than that. I love adventurous road trips, breathtaking natural landscapes, vibrant cultures, and inspiring cities. Whether I’m standing face‑to‑face with an animal I’ve never seen in the wild before, wandering through an unfamiliar neighborhood, or exploring a new destination purely on instinct: that sense of wonder is always there.
Besides traveling, I enjoy music, photography, theatre, films and series, and spending time with friends and family.
